Matiu Ratana was a New Zealand-born British police sergeant. He moved to England in 1989, working for the Metropolitan Police for nearly 30 years. He will be always remembered as “big generous lion’s heart”. As a police officer He has brought amazing energy and determination to the job, as to his life. He will be forever in our thoughts and in our hearts. This award is in memory and remembrance of his selfless sacrifice,courage and service.

Dr Agnelo Fernandes MBE FRCGP has chaired various project groups including the Croydon NHS 111 project board, Croydon Urgent Care network, Croydon Urgent Care Integrated Governance and London NHS 111 Clinical Governance group saving thousands of precious lives. He is also a Governor at Royal Russell School in Croydon and Chair the Education & Welfare Committee. He was awarded the MBE by Her Majesty The Queen for services to medicine and healthcare in 2004.
